i love love love temple square at Christmas time. the temple all aglow and the twinkling christmas lights everywhere. although i remember as a child that there used to be so many more lights then they have now. it is a tradition in my family (as well as most of yours, i am sure) to visit temple square each Christmas. time was running out this year and i wasn't sure we were going to make it. thank heavens, we did. we went the day before christmas eve. well, almost all of utah must have had the same idea. it was so crazy packed, i could not believe it. i have never seen it so busy. it had snowed earlier that day so everything was glistening. it was so beautiful. there is nothing better then temple square to remind you of the true meaning of Christmas!
Here is my family all bundled up to keep warm. this is the same tree that we pose in front of every year. it is so beautiful. this picture doesn't do it justice!

the kids could hardly wait when the snow let up enough for them go outside and play in all the wonderful, glorious, beautiful, untouched snow. first finding all the snow gear was quite the task. if fact, most of it is still not found, but not having proper attire was not going to stop boys.
of course the minute that paxton and wyatt saw that red, kasie and mia where outside, off to their house they forged. (picture: Mia, Wyatt and Paxton)
kysa wanted to get in on all the action. she had her first taste of snow. she didn't really care for it, but she was still all smiles.Sunday, December 21, 2008
of course all three kids are in their be-nothings, cuz i didn't want them to get dirty before church started. 1 o'clock church is the worst. yeah, it is good for me to finish my singing time material, but trying to get the kids fed, clothed and napped all before church is quite the task.

so i was informed today that just because little blue (my camera) is missing, doesn't mean that i can't post. so here goes a picture-less post. i want you to know how hard this is for me!
with Christmas just around the corner i have been thinking alot about all those last minute things that you know need to get done, but wonder how you are going to squeeze one more thing into an already jam packed day. tuesday night we started taking around all our neighbor gifts, which was quite the feat with the boys wanting to jump out of the car (before we had stoped mind you) and race to the doors of our unsuspecting neighbors. there were a few slips and a few more bumps and bruises, but fortunatly the home-made jam made it to the doors intact!
yesterday we made the drive to cache valley for my brothers christmas program. it was so cute and touching. just picture 100+ handicapped and disabled kids and adults, all clad in santa hats, rudolph antlers, elf ears, singing their little hearts out to all the christmas classics. it was so touching. if that doesn't get you in the christmas spirit, i don't know what would. My brother, Nate played Blitzen. How fun!!!
More updates on christmas fun from the ronnow household yet to come......(hopefully with some photographic proof!)

ky was so cute as a little witch. it is so much fun having a little girl especiallly when i get to dress her up in frilly, fluffy things. she is such a good little girl, putting up with a mom like me. i wasn't sure she would keep her hat on, but as long and i distracted her with a sucker then she was fine to leave it on.

5. wyatt was a binky baby. he loved it. when he was about 18 months he started biting holes in the nipples. so of course that is when it got taken away. wyatt wasn't at all bothered by the fact that he didn't have his binky anymore, although that is when he got totally attached to his "ducky blankie". we can't go anywhere without it. he stands at the washing machine and cries when it is being cleaned, which is often since we have to take it EVERYWHERE! i don't think we are going to have an easy time getting him to relinquish the "ducky blankie". it could be cute to have a son who carries around his blankie when he is 15 right?
4. wyatt hates rootbeer. he won't touch it. i don't know why he doesn't like it seeming how it is paxtons beverage of choice. wyatt would rather have water (and that is saying alot) then rootbeer! what a weird kid.
3. wyatt has his own language. he didn't start talking until he was three, so we have had quite a year of being interpreters. the thing that i love that he says is he calls his grandma becky, "Waha Beehee." i know that i should help him to say it correctly but i love it and hope that he always calls her "Waha"
2. wyatt loves little girls. he is the only boy in nursery at church, and i think that he really loves it. everytime he makes a new girl friend he tells me that he is going to marry her, even his cousins (ashley P). what a ladies man!
1. wyatt loves to have his tummy, back, arms, legs really pretty much anywhere scratched softly. it can sometimes really drive you crazy. everytime you are sitting anywhere he will climb up onto your lap and lift up his shirt to be scratched. although the nice part is 9 out of 10 times he will fall asleep!
***and a bonus fact about wyatt...no matter what time he goes to bed (which is usually late like 11pm) he will wake up with the sun. meaning like 5am. we have gotten him trained that he does not come in to wake up mom and dad. he now knows how to put a movie or cartoons on by himself!
i love wyatt so much and am so glad that he is my little dubby. sometimes he gets lost in the shuffle of being the dreaded "middle child" but i can't imagine our family without him. he is definitly the spice in our life!

****oh my gosh, look how cute ky is. i swear she gets more beautiful by the day. (don't mind me, just a little bit of mommy bragging.) we love halloween at our house. next to christmas it is our most favorite. i love the feel of the air, the warm clothes being pulled out of hibernation, i love the costumes, letting go of me being able to choose what costumes the boys will wear this year. i love being outside, whether that means soccer games, play days at the park, or corn mazes.....
...and speaking of corn mazes. my sister steph happened to get some free tickets to a maze. we thought, hey what a fun way to spend the evening with the fam. so we packed up the monsters and off we went. come to find out the maze was in south jordan....so save money on the tickets, but pay it in gas. oh well, we had such a good time it was so worth it. the maze had a haunted section and a kid friendly one. we DID choose the ghouls free path. (even though the look of the pictures we didn't, the boys wanted a pic with the scary scarecrow, minus wyatt, he kept his face hidden. poor guy!)
it was a freezing night, but we dressed warm. once we got moving inside the maze we were actually quite toasty...especially me, i was wearing ky in her sling. it was nice to have a built in furnace.
well i hope that everyone else is having a good halloween season. i can't believe that it is almost here. where is the time going? soon we are all going to be doing christmas posts....ahhhhhh!

wyatt, being the great big brother that he is, gave ky a sucker today. i didn't have the heart to take it from her (besides i tried and she had a total meltdown). so i plopped her in her highchair and let her go to town. she loved it as you can tell. she was such a sticky mess by the time she was done, that we had to hose her down in the tub.
paxton at his first soccer game of the season. last year was his first year, and he loved it! this year has been fun because i and my brother in law (his son gavin is on the team too) are the coaches. paxton is quite the little player. he is a quick runner and he is not intimidated at all by the other players or the ball. he just gets in there and plays his little heart out! paxton is also very proud because he chose the teams name....the TIGERS!

arriving in his new classroom. he was so excited he was all smiles. he kept telling me that i could go, but i just had to keep getting "one more look"
it was so funny to see all of us moms standing in the doorway of the classroom trying to get their child to turn and SMILE. there was alot of us that this is our first child that has gone to school. everyone told me how hard it was going to be, but it wasn't as bad as i thought. paxton was so excited that it was hard for me to be sad.
how cute
