the kids slept in....can you believe it?! they didn't get out of bed until 7:30, and if any of you know my kids that is considered sleeping in! here they are getting ready to open their santa gifts. they were so excited!
Paxton showing some of the treasures he found in is stocking! it is a voice recorder that warps whatever you say into it! both paxton and wyatt got one, and let me just tell you what a hit they are!
Here is my family all bundled up to keep warm. this is the same tree that we pose in front of every year. it is so beautiful. this picture doesn't do it justice!
of course the minute that paxton and wyatt saw that red, kasie and mia where outside, off to their house they forged. (picture: Mia, Wyatt and Paxton)
kysa wanted to get in on all the action. she had her first taste of snow. she didn't really care for it, but she was still all smiles.
wyatt was being red's little helper on making the snow fort. wyatt just didn't understand that the snow red was shoveling out, wasn't supposed to go back in the fort. (notice his nice battle wound?)
paxton is always the best to flash me a smile when i say "Cheese." he was having a ball and didn't want to go in the house when the sun started to go down. we didn't get to making our snowman, but i promised that we have tomorrow. side note: so when we got home and were taking off all of our snow gear, paxton unzipped his coat to reveal that he was bare-chested. thats right folks no shirt on under the coat! what a terd!
so here is a picture of our christmas tree. it was bought a few years ago at an after christmas sale for $30 bucks. it has been the best little tree ever. we love it. the best thing is no more stringing my own lights....pre-lit baby. its the way to go.

So we finally got new family pictures taken. it has been so long since we have gotten them done. i think the last time was when ky was a new born. i know horrible huh? Brooke (allan's cousins wife) did such a good job, especially because kysa was so crabby. the boys have never smiled so well for anyone before. i don't think there was one shot of them that i didn't like. thanks so much brookers, you did an amazing job!
Paxton decided to be Harry Potter this year. he looked so cute and was so excited. the first day he had his costume he was waving his wand and doing spells on us all. in fact, just in case you didn't know paxton turned wyatt in to a bucket! paxton made such a good harry potter.
wyatt finally made up his mind as to what he wanted to be for halloween. everytime we would ask him what he wanted to be it would be something different. first, a transformer, and not just any transformer it has to be bumblebee. then it was the hulk. when all was said and done wyatt decided on being a army guy. i told him he looked like a g.i. joe, but i was informed that that was NOT what he was.
ky was so cute as a little witch. it is so much fun having a little girl especiallly when i get to dress her up in frilly, fluffy things. she is such a good little girl, putting up with a mom like me. i wasn't sure she would keep her hat on, but as long and i distracted her with a sucker then she was fine to leave it on.
so my friend danielle tagged me to tell you five things that you don't know about wyatt...here goes!
so i know it has been forever since i have posted, but life has been nuts! i seriously thought that once summer was over and Paxton was in school that life would calm down for us...boy, was i wrong! i am really going to try and be better, no promises though!
...and speaking of corn mazes. my sister steph happened to get some free tickets to a maze. we thought, hey what a fun way to spend the evening with the fam. so we packed up the monsters and off we went. come to find out the maze was in south jordan....so save money on the tickets, but pay it in gas. oh well, we had such a good time it was so worth it. the maze had a haunted section and a kid friendly one. we DID choose the ghouls free path. (even though the look of the pictures we didn't, the boys wanted a pic with the scary scarecrow, minus wyatt, he kept his face hidden. poor guy!)
it was a freezing night, but we dressed warm. once we got moving inside the maze we were actually quite toasty...especially me, i was wearing ky in her sling. it was nice to have a built in furnace.
well i hope that everyone else is having a good halloween season. i can't believe that it is almost here. where is the time going? soon we are all going to be doing christmas posts....ahhhhhh!

wyatt, being the great big brother that he is, gave ky a sucker today. i didn't have the heart to take it from her (besides i tried and she had a total meltdown). so i plopped her in her highchair and let her go to town. she loved it as you can tell. she was such a sticky mess by the time she was done, that we had to hose her down in the tub.
it is not often that i can get a picture of my whole family, seeing how i am usually the one taking the pictures. we went to lagoon this weekend and my sister and her fam came too. she snapped this picture of us. can i just tell you how worth it it has been for us to get season passes to lagoon. we definalty got our moneys worth this summer.
paxton at his first soccer game of the season. last year was his first year, and he loved it! this year has been fun because i and my brother in law (his son gavin is on the team too) are the coaches. paxton is quite the little player. he is a quick runner and he is not intimidated at all by the other players or the ball. he just gets in there and plays his little heart out! paxton is also very proud because he chose the teams name....the TIGERS!
oh my gosh, look at what a big boy i have. doesn't he look so dang handsome? yesterday paxton had his first day of kindergarten. the day started off kinda rough cuz he was being a sleepy head and i could not get him out of bed...he was so mad at me until i reminded him why he was getting up so early. now that we have had his second day and once again i had to fight with him to get up, i am wondering what i was thinking when i thought that morning kindergarten would be so much better. plus i had to give him a haircut the morning of his first day, cuz being the awesome mom that i am we totally ran out of time before.
arriving in his new classroom. he was so excited he was all smiles. he kept telling me that i could go, but i just had to keep getting "one more look"
it was so funny to see all of us moms standing in the doorway of the classroom trying to get their child to turn and SMILE. there was alot of us that this is our first child that has gone to school. everyone told me how hard it was going to be, but it wasn't as bad as i thought. paxton was so excited that it was hard for me to be sad.
