Run, run...who can get the most?don't you just love easter? we had such a great time! we went to my parents house after church for dinner and then the traditional candy hunt. can i just tell you what a loot the kids got. i think that my mom went a little over board.
i think that i have decided to have a talk with the easter bunny. between saturdays easter hunts and sundays hunts. my kid have sooooo much candy. so much that it is going to go bad before it gets eaten. so what i have decided to chat about with the bunny is this. next year, he is going to bring eggs filled with money. just change...quarters, dimes, nickels and maybe some pennies. you know just the amount that the easter bunny would spend on treats. then the kids can go to the store and buy a prize. we will still do the hunts on saturday and then just the one sunday with my parents, but our house hunt will contain NO MORE CANDY!

the kids hauled @$*! to get to the candy first. it was so much fun. we went to a little wooded a
rea across the street from my parents. it was perfect. so many places to find candy.

this year ky really got into the hunting. she learned quickly what she was supposed to do. and let me tell you she got right in there with the big kids. she really held her own too. i think that she made out with the most in her bucket (before it got divided) because everyone thought that they needed to help her. boy did she have them fooled!

we hope that you and your families all had a fantastic easter.!!!
a low key easter...so normally i go all out and try to find the cutest easter dress i can. this process usually takes weeks and then to find shoes and accessories...what a nightmare. this year i decided to go a little more low key. i found this really cute osh kosh dress at babies r us and decided it was perfect. ky looked so cute and the best part...she can wear this dress more then just three or four times before she grows out of it!
pulling the classic "ky cheesy face". i love that the minute i pull out a camera she will make this face. although it is better then the "i am in pain" face that wyatt pulls!

showing off her new easter duds.

the BEST- Best Western...Ever!grandma jenny decided to take all the grandkids to dixon and darlenes new hotel for swimming and sleeping. they had a ball. they swam and swam and then swam some more. here is pax dripping in all this watery glory!
after wyatt's near drowning experience last summer, he was very careful to stay close to the edge. the longer they swam the more confidence he got. by the time we were done he was out in the middle by himself. granted he did not want to take of his life jacket...which was fine by me!
ky in her new swimming suit that paxton picked out all by himself. he thought is was "so cute". i was actually surprised at how much kysa loved the swimming pool. when we were in arizona last may, she freaked out when we got her in the pool. this time she kept trying to jump out of my arms. i don't think that she quite relized that she could not float.

this picture was taken right after we check in and got into our swimming suits. How cute!
okay so let me just tell you how beautiful this hotel is. the rooms where so amazing. they were big, bright and so beautifully decorated. the lobby was fantastic and as you can see the pool was a hit! if anyone is needing to find a hotel in the area for friends or family in town this is the place to go.
Thanks grandma jenny for a wonderful time. it was so fun for the boys to have a night with you and their cousins...plus is was so wonderful to have some time with just allan and ky!
happy birthday to a super sweet, super BIG kid...where have the last six years gone? i can still remember being pregnant with paxton and wishing the time away, so that he would just get here. now my sweet son has turned six. paxtons birthday was on wednesday (April 8). we have been party-ing all week long.
pax is such a good kid. he is always such a big helper. i sometimes feel bad for all the times i really depend on him for his help, which he rarely complains about. he is such a caring little boy. he is always worried about everybodys feelings. he is a great friend especially to his brother and sister. we are so blessed to have paxton in our family. i just can't imagine it without him.
we love you paxton and hope that you had a wonderful 6th birthday!

here fishy, fishy...we went to the living planet aquarium last week while allan was off of work. it was so much fun. paxton had been asking to go for weeks. i kept telling him that when daddy was off of work then we would go. needless to say he was asking everyday if it was time for daddy to "quit" work.
here we are touching the sting rays. can i just tell you how crazy they are...this one looks all nice and gentle in the picture, but don't let it fool you. right after this picture was taken, it was trying to climb (as well as a sting ray can climb) up the side of the rock wall. i was so freaked out! this was for sure one of the kids' favorite things to do. pax had been preparing himself for weeks to get the courage to touch the rays this time. and he did, time and time and time again. the aquarium also has this new exibit. it is all about the rainforest. it was amazing. you all need to check it out!
here is me and ky looking at the squid (or maybe it was an octopus, i can't really remember). so they have this sign by the tank that says no flash photography. well my darling sister thought it would be great to take a picture seeming how the squid was right here at the edge of the glass. well when she took it, the squid freaked out and went zooming to the bottom of the tank. it was wigging out. we then noticed the sign. we now know why they don't want you to use flashes. the picture is cool though right?

my boys love, love, love everything about sharks. paxton is always checking out books about them. so when we saw this tank full of all kinds, we had to take a picture. pax was thrilled! wyatt on the other hand...
...was a little freaked out! he was a good sport though and humored mom and let her take the picture. i kept thinking what a fun scrapbook page titled SHARKS! it is sad that i plan what pictures i want to take according to what i think will make a cute scrapbook page.

there was a cute little boat that the kids could sit in. ky of course thought this was the perfect spot for her. she was quite pleased with herself. i love this cheesy smile she gives. even though ky is not even two yet, she loved the aquarium. it was fun to see her little face light up.
well we had a great time, good enough that we ended up buying season passes. they ended up being so worth it. it was $8 for the day for an adult, $6 for the day for kids over age 2. then for season passes it was $16 for adults and $12 for kids. so really if we go one more time then we have our passes paid for. i am sure we are going to go alot more then that. so really it was a no brainer! so the invitation is sent...anyone who wants to go let us know, we will so be there!

how cute
