Curly or Straight???i straightened ky's hair with the flat iron the other day. she sat so still, i was really surprised! she looked so dang cute, i can't believe how much older having straight hair has made her look.
Primary Activity...
the kids had a easter egg hunt on saturday for all the primary kids in our ward. it was really fun. they got to make their own bunny baskets and then go outside and hunt. ky thought it was a blast. Wyatt seemed to have a nack for finding eggs. he was helping everyone find some once he had found his allotted 3 eggs.

it was such a nice day, that i was able to put the kids in tee shirts and shorts.
My handsome little boys! sheesh, i love my kids!

chaos!
so i have been meaning to post for so long, but haven't had the time to sit down and type a thing.
but my exciting news.....
my kitchen is finally going to be remodeled! this month is the month. i have picked out all the paint colors, tile for the floor, and my beautiful new countertops. i am so dang excited. allan reminds me everyday that we are going to be living in chaos for a while, but it will all be worth it i am sure. so pretty much this is a little plug to invite any who wants to help to come on down. we will be starting the big major things the third week of this month, but i am going to be cleaning out cubboards and painting them. anyone ever done it before? bead board is going to be put on the walls and new hardware on the cubboards and drawers as well! yay!!! i can't wait! let the demo begin!

Happy Anniversary!

yesterday allan and i celebrated our 7th anniversary. wow, it is crazy to think we have been married that long...yet at the same time it feels like it has been forever, you know what i mean? i am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man. he is always so willing to help out doing whatever i need, like watching the kids or cleaning the house. the best part is that he rarely complains. he really spoils me.

life isn't always perfect, but i wouldn't trade it for anything. thanks for seven wonderful years. i am a lucky woman to get to spend eternity with you! i love you Allan.

Wyatt is now 4!my little boy turned four this week. i can't believe how big he is, it really amazes me. i am so lucky and blessed that i get to be this little boys mom. he is so full of life that it makes it hard not to enjoy everything around us.
we had a party tonight celebrating dubby's birthday. it was so much fun. he wanted to have an army man party. so we told everyone to come dressed in camo. (notice my naked little girl, we took off her shirt so that she could have some cake and icecream)

i made dog tags for all the kids and we had a fun army tank pinata. we had such and good time and wyatt got spoiled rotten . i guess that is what happens when you have so many aunts and uncles. (here is dubby blowing out his candles on his ben 10 cake.)
wyatt was supposed to be in this picture but he was having way too much fun playing with his loot. thanks to everyone who came to dubbys party and gave him such wonderful presents. you are all the best!
Happy birthday wyatt. we love you so much!

Happy 60th Birthday Allan Sr.
my father in law turned 60 this month. it was a nice little get together with all of his kids and spouses. it was great to sit and be able to enjoy a meal without having to take care of all of our little ones. Allan i hope that you had a wonderful birthday! we love you.
Superbowl Sunday...
i know, superbowl was a couple of weeks ago...life has been nuts!
we went to watch the superbowl up at my parents house in smithfield. they have a huge party every year! it was a blast. we had yummy food, great company and it wouldn't be a party without a little guitar hero.
so the primary president in my ward was asking me if i was going to watch the superbowl. i told her yes, that we were going to my parents for a party. she then asked me what team i was going to be cheering for. i asked her "who is playing?" this pretty much gave her a heart attack because she and her family are die hard steelers fans! she asked me if i was serious and i told her i was!
she then informed me that i would be cheering on the steelers and that she was going to bring over some steelers apparel for me, allan and all the kids to wear. well she was true to her word. allan, me and pax all got t-shirts, wyatt got a hoodie, and ky had a jersey. it was so fun to show up in all our team spirit! thanks so much katie for letting us wear your stuff!
Cute baby ky sitting on the counter helping to get all the food ready.

on the way out of my parents neighborhood, i turned around and saw this. seriously we hadn't even left their neighborhood. they were really tuckered out!!!

rub a dub dub....there isn't anything cuter then tub pictures. the kids were having so much fun in the bath the other morning, that i had to take a few snaps with the camera. i remember seeing pictures exactly like this one with me and my brothers and sister. i think this is just one of those classic perfect picture moments that all moms take of their children.
***soon to come, SUPERBOWL pictures!***

Something is different, but i can't put my finger on it!
so i woke up the other morning got going on my busy day, when wyatt came up to me chatting like he normally does. i looked at him and thought "there is something different about him," but i just couldn't figure it out. so on with my day i went! finally halfway through the day i went upstairs to clean the last bathroom. i walked in and found a huge surprise, handfulls of blonde hair....you guessed it!
wyatt cut his own hair!!! when i figured out what he had done and examined the damages, i said to dubby, "Wyatt, did you cut your hair?" and he got the hugest, most proud smile on his face and said "Yeah Mom!" "i did it all by myself!" okay, so seriously he was so excited and proud of the wonderful haircut he had given himself, how could i be mad. Although we had been growing his hair out since the fall, and it was looking so cute. (notice in the picture above, he has no hair on the sides of his head. nice mullet baby! business in front, party in the back!)
After going over the damages, i remembered to take some pictures. Nice bald spots dub!

the incriminating evidence! everyone always asks me if my kids ever try cutting their hair after seeing me do hair all the time. i was always so proud in saying "no, never! i think because they see me do it that it is not a novelty." well i can no longer say those words! wyatt did though get a really cute new, short hair do.

it's 2009...ready or not?!
wow, can you believe that it is 2009? it seems like just yesterday that we were all preparing for Y2K. there has been so many wonderful things that our family has experienced in 2008. i am grateful for all of the joys, the tears, the laughs, the heartache....the memories! isn't that what life is all about? we hope that you all have the best 2009. we wish you luck, happiness, love and anything else that would make this year the best year possible!
Kysa enjoying the new year festivities. all three of the kids stayed up until midnight+. we went up to cache valley to my parents house for a party they were having. it was so much fun. we played guesstures and guitar hero world tour. we ate tons of good food and all had a really great night.
grandma and papa has tons of horns, whistles, poppers, streamers...you name it, they had it! don't you think this is a very becoming look for both wyatt and paxton. they were so hyped up on sugar. good thing the high didn't last as long and i thought it would!

some of the new years eve party animals. thanks mom and dad for hosting a rockin' party. it was so fun to spend the evening with you all.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

how cute
